The Alaska Small Business Development Center (SDBC) provides no-cost advising services and low cost educational programs to entrepreneurs looking to start or grow their small business. SBDC business advisers work with entrepreneurs in confidential, one-to-one sessions in the areas of management, marketing, sales, finance, accounting and other disciplines required for small business growth, expansion and innovation.
The SBDC provides quarterly updates for each market that they serve.

Institute of Social and Economic Research (ISER)
The Institute of Social and Economic Research at the University of Alaska Anchorage has begun a new research initiative, Investing for Alaska's Future, underwritten by a grant from Northrim Bank and in partnership with the University of Alaska Foundation. The research initiative will help Alaskans better understand the relationship between government policies and economic development, help inform investment decisions and monitor state economic and fiscal conditions.
