This week, Northrim Bank hosted three economic update luncheons in Anchorage, Juneau and Fairbanks. The annual luncheons outlined how businesses could ‘Learn to not only survive, but thrive in Alaska’s dynamic economy’. Speakers included Northrim Bank President, CEO and COO Joe Schierhorn; Northrim Bank Chairman, Joe Beedle; Northrim Bank SVP, Senior Credit Underwriter and Bank Economist Mark Edwards; and guest speakers Pacific Portfolio Consulting President and CEO Larry Hood and Chief Investment Officer Jim Ayers.
Guests received an update on Alaska’s economy and a special presentation on the economic issues affecting Alaska and the nation. Northrim also rolled out its new program to help businesses survive and thrive in Alaska. The Bank is calling this ‘SurThrival’. Businesses can take a survey and receive a custom report to help the business prepare for potential challenges in the future. To wrap up each luncheon, Northrim Bank presented a total of $264,500 to University of Alaska programs. Over the years, Northrim has given over $4 million to Alaskan higher education. Northrim invests in the community and is proud to support organizations that are helping build a stronger community for the future.
