Dr. Margo Thorning is Senior Vice President and Chief Economist with the American Council for Capital Formation. Dr. Thorning suspects that after making an adjustment to the current oil tax policies in Alaska to make the investment climate more competitive, tax receipts will likely increase within just a couple of years.
Dr. Thorning is an internationally recognized expert on tax, environmental, and competitiveness issues. She spoke recently at the Northrim Bank Oil and Gas Speaker Series presented by the Alaska World Affairs Council in Anchorage.
